"The PMAC National Board of Directors approved the Certified Professional Purchaser (C.P.P.) designation be replaced by a new designation (SCMP - Supply Chain Management Professional) that better reflects our field of practice of strategic supply chain management, we are now in the final stages of legal registration and are able to inform you of the name of our new designation."

"The PMAC National office is working with our Provincial and Territorial Institutes to co-ordinate the roll-out of the new designation as soon as the legal aspects of the change are completed. Members will be advised when they will receive the SCMP and employers and other stakeholders will learn about the new designation through a comprehensive marketing communications plan. We will invest close to $1 million over the next two years to promote the new designation and the unique and distinctive competencies of our SCMPs"
